Our Annual Luncheon in April featured Susan Crawford, Special Assistant to the President for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy. The event also included remarks from our Honorary Chairs, House Representatives Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Mary Bono Mack. This annual meeting offers an opportunity to learn about current technology policy, and provides excellent networking opportunities for those in the public and private sectors.

Communication
The Women's High Tech Coalition brings together senior-level executive women from both the private and public sectors for informed discussions on key issues, access to key public policymakers, and business and client development opportunities. The WHTC will host periodic Happy Hours, meetings, informal discussions and semi-annual Luncheons in Washington, DC, as well as additional events in Silicon Valley and New York City, for policy-makers and leaders from the private sector to network and exchange ideas.

As part of the initiative to bring broadband to a broader audience, NextGenWeb is helping the Coalition by broadcasting select events over the Net. Our most recent event featured Angela Braly, CEO of WellPoint, delivering a key speech to members, elected officials and sponsors of Women's High Tech.

Cooperation
The high-tech/IT industries and those companies representing the broad corporate spectrum with substantial ecommerce interests are in a rapid, perpetual state of evolution. Women working in these industries - and on policy development related to them - know that their success is linked to how well they are attuned to and responsive to change.

Information
The Women's High-Tech Coalition (WHTC) supports women working in both the private and public sectors by enabling them not only to stay up-to-speed on the latest developments, but place them in perspective. The Coalition provides a unique forum for education, analysis, networking and dialogue.

Success
While this industry is still in its infancy, the competition is fierce and the rules keep changing. By uniting women in the public and private sectors, WHTC gives you the tools and the contacts to help you succeed in your career.
